FINANCIAL MODELLING SERVICES

Financial Modelling Training

Practical training that helps finance professionals build, understand and review financial models with greater confidence.

Better modellers make better models

Good financial modelling is a skill developed through practice. Knowing Excel is important, but so is understanding how to structure a model, work with assumptions and recognise when something does not make sense.

Confidence should come from understanding, not simply from knowing which formula to use. We encourage participants to question results, test their reasoning and recognise the limitations of their models.

At EXEMPLUM®, we combine sound modelling principles with practical exercises drawn from real assignments. The aim is to help people build, review and improve financial models independently – and develop the judgement to know when further questions need to be asked.

What we teach

Financial Modelling Fundamentals

Model structure, formulas, timelines, assumptions and essential good modelling practices.

Applied Financial Modelling

Building and working with investment, project finance and operating models through practical exercises.

Model Review & Best Practice

Understanding model quality, identifying weaknesses and improving transparency and maintainability.

Our training approach

We teach financial modelling as a practical skill. Participants work through real modelling problems, build models themselves and learn why particular approaches work.

Our training draws on the FAST Standard and established modelling practices. We explain the principles behind clear, structured models while recognising that different situations may call for different techniques.

The aim is not simply to complete an exercise. It is to give participants the understanding and confidence to apply what they have learned in their own work.
